Categories: organizations, programs

GREENBELT, MD-The Chesapeake Education, Arts and Research Society is a non-profit organization and a tribe of friends and volunteers —environmentalists, natural and social scientists, artists, educators, children, parents, grandparents, and activists interested in learning together and enabling others in the areas of ecological stewardship and artistic expression.  Executive Director, Kimberly Walsh, is using The Art of Learning with educators of elementary school students and young adults during the organization’s re-skilling workshops in order to inspire, engage and encourage action-learning methods. The ultimate goal is to discover new ways to enhance community health by working on habits and attitudes as they relate to ecological systems.
