What information does the JW Foundation collect?
The JW Foundation collects and maintains certain personal information about you when you send us an e-mail or complete any of our online forms, such as when you request information from us, make a donation, download one of our companion guides, or fill out a book program application. Such information may include your name, mailing address, and e-mail address; it may also include a phone number and any other information collected in the forms. You may be asked to provide credit card information to contribute to the JW Foundation.
How is the information used?
The JW Foundation will not sell, trade or otherwise transfer to outside parties your personally identifiable information. This does not include website hosting partners and other parties who assist us in operating our website, conducting our business, or servicing you, so long as those parties agree to keep this information confidential. We may also release your information when we believe release is appropriate to comply with the law, enforce our site policies, or protect ours or others’ rights, property, or safety.
However, non-personally identifiable visitor information may be provided to other parties for marketing, advertising, or other uses.
The JW Foundation may also use your information to deliver information to you about our organization such as updates on our work, new content on the website that we think you might be interested in, or for fundraising purposes.
Do I have control over how my information is used?
You will not be added to our mailing list unless you have opted in to receive periodic e-mails. You may opt-out of receiving communications from us by sending an email to us at firstname.lastname@example.org with your complete name and email address. The JW Foundation assumes no responsibility for the data collection and use practices of third parties that process online credit card transactions.
