LAUREL, MD-Brock Bridge Elementary School aims to close the achievement gap for all learners and to prepare them for a culturally diverse and technologically oriented society.  Fourth-grade teacher, Eileen McArdle, is using the information in The Art of Learning to support the school’s mission of motivating students to be “responsible, independent and self-motivated learners”.  She is sharing the book with all of the teachers/support staff in a semester-long book study group.  Together, they are exploring ways of directly exposing their young students to The Art of Learning principles and are providing feedback on the school’s progress.
